Background

A client approached the RCID with an initial product design for a salon foil preparation machine. The client required design improvements to the mechanisms and electronics as well as support liaising with the manufacturing team based in China.

Solution

The RCID produced the electronics design including control of DC and stepper motors, processing input from optical sensors and a user interface.

The electronics design engineers worked closely with the mechanical design engineers to specify components, space constraints and draw up the schematic.

The software engineers then worked closely with the client to provide a flexible and easy to use human-machine interface.

The RCID then liaised with the Chinese manufacturing company to prepare for production.
